One of Napa Valley’s Favorite Resorts

The Meritage Resort and Spa opened in July 2006 to become one of Napa Valley’s top luxury hotels and resorts. Situated in front of nine acres of hillside vineyards, The Meritage Resort continues to develop its perfect blend of facilities, amenities, and services to make your Napa Valley visit relaxing and productive.

Adjacent to one another, The Meritage Resort opened along with the Vino Bello Resort, creating the ultimate Wine Country destination. Combined, the Napa resorts feature 502 luxury guestrooms and suites (322 at The Meritage Resort and Spa; 180 at Vino Bello), a gourmet restaurant, casual dining options, two swimming pools, and premier meeting and event space.

In 2007, Spa Terra opened at The Meritage Resort, making hotel history with its unique location. 40 feet below the iconic Grape Crusher statue, the world’s first entirely underground spa was built. The 9,500 square foot, $7.5 million project features steam grottos, soaking pools, water walls, and lavishly appointed private treatment rooms for individuals and couples. The décor of Spa Terra reflects the Mediterranean theme of The Meritage Resort, complete with hand-wrought fixtures and extensive custom tile work.

Built to provide guests with the complete Napa experience, the Estate Cave features Spa Terra with its curative treatments and private alcoves. Adjacent to the underground spa, the Trinitas Cellars Tasting Room features beautiful stone and dark woods for an environment unlike any other. Guests to Trinitas Cellars can indulge in custom flights of Trinitas Cellars wines and artisan chocolate pairings.

In May 2012, the largest resort in Napa, The Meritage Resort and Spa, introduced even more rooms, dining, and entertainment options with a $40 million expansion. This 19-month long enhancement added Crush Ultra Lounge with six luxury bowling lanes, Blend with customized espresso beverages, and over 15,000 additional square feet of meeting and event space. The adults only pool was also given a makeover with private cabanas, luxurious lounge chairs, a large fire pit, and the Terrace Bar was created to serve cold drinks and light fare for guests enjoying the beautiful Napa Valley weather.

In May and June 2013 The Meritage Resort and Spa refurbished its main lobby, including The Commons: A Wine Bar. A new event deck with pre-function space was built to incorporate sweeping views of Napa Valley and the resort’s hillside vineyards while taking advantage of the beautiful oak trees and gazebo for weddings and events of up to 200. In March 2014 the resort completed a floor the ceiling remodel of its 157 original guestrooms, including the addition of three bridal suites.
